Scientific Initiative is an extended initiative that emerged from the Biomedical Research and Scholarly Communication Support services designed by Dr. Tmanova in 2015 to help WRNMMC biomedical community integrate innovative scientific information into medicine to advance science and scientific communication.
The Scientific Initiative adds information value to clinical research, publication-quality value to articles written by clinicians and residents, and information literacy value to graduate medical education aiming to enhance the ethical research, literature analysis, synthesis, and management, scientific writing, article publication, and research impact evaluation through following initiatives:
The initiative also offers information resources, consultations, and lectures on conducting research, study planning, data management planning, scientific writing, and publication.
Consultation
Scientific consultations are offered for clinicians and residents to help navigate the information ecosystem of scholarly publication, planning the study, research data management, scientific writing, information management, and academic publication.
Education
Scientific Communication lectures are offered for clinicians and residents to enhance research skills in literature search, analysis, synthesis, information and citation management, scientific writing, research data management, scientific communication, critical thinking and analysis, and academic and clinical ethics.
