Scoping Review Consulting (ScRC)

Scoping Review Consulting (ScRC) is a new consulting pilot project introduced to Research Advisory (RA). The project aim is to enhance a literature discovery and integration of information while conducting scoping review and writing review articles. The ScRC also offers consulting on conducing scoping review as well as co-authorship of scoping reviews.

Explicit and reproducible methods and strategies are employed to identify and gather citations from literature databases while conducting a comprehensive literature search to synthesize the research gaps in research and subject disciplines while planning and designing a scoping review. Librarian contributes to research team by bringing information expertise and experience in designing and conducting a literature search and review research question design. Thus, consulting on planning a scoping review and co-authoring of scoping review are offered. Information support also includes an overview of information methods to evaluate published research, literature synthesis methods, tools, and guidance in designing a literature search (Morril, Boruff, and Gore, 2016).
