The Darnall Medical Library's Research Librarian, Assistant Professor in Radiology and Radiological Sciences designed the Scientific Communication Initiative to assist WRNMMC researchers to navigate the research information ecosystem and integrate innovative information into clinical sciences and specialties to accelerate research, education, and scholarly communication by providing the following:

  • Advisory on Scholarly Research and Communication
  • Information and Literature Analysis, Synthesis, Evaluation, and Critical Appraisal
  • Research Literature Discovery
  • Research & Clinical Ethics
  • Scientific & Medical Writing
  • Research Quality
  • Informatics (radiology, health, literature)
  • Education (e.g., lectures, new faculty orientation)
  • Expertise in Evidence-Based Radiology & Evidence-Based Medicine
  • Expertise in Biomedical Investigation, Practice-Based Research
  • Research librarian on Research Rounds
  • Educational research

Research Discovery is a research information initiative that provides WRNMMC affiliates with a range of research assistance, such as conducting literature searches, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating published literature. WRNMMC affiliates receive research support for designing research studies, identifying research gaps, and drafting research protocols. Furthermore, through consultation and co-authorship with the research librarian, researchers receive support in writing literature review articles (narrative, systematic, scoping, rapid, and other review types).
