Literature Review

Literature search is an essential element in the process of planning and conducting literature review. A literature search allows researchers to review present scholarly publications, assess the body of knowledge in their fields, and serve as the foundation of the research study within the context of their research hypothesis. A comprehensive literature search design is offered to explore the published literature in various biomedical databases such as PubMed, OVID, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, PsychINFO, Web of Science, and other. An information consulting is offered on planning a literature review and co-authoring literature reviews with WRNMMC researchers.

Dr. Tmanova consults WRNMMC researchers with the planning of a literature review, identifying research gaps and topics, formulating a research question, selecting authoritative biomedical literature sources, developing explicit literature search methods and strategies for identifying and gathering published research from literature databases, conducting a comprehensive literature search, collecting identified literature for information analysis and synthesis, mapping scientists' research questions within the context of collated literature, and critical appraisal of academic articles.
